Role Summary

Member of the Advanced Chip Engineering (ACE) SoC Implementation organization responsible for end-to-end physical implementation of automotive and industrial processors. The role covers RTL-to-GDS flow with primary focus on static timing analysis (STA), timing closure and physical implementation of critical subsystems.

Works closely with architecture, front-end and global implementation teams (USA, India, China) to develop timing constraints, drive ECOs and improve methodology and automation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include analysis, implementation and timing closure activities across the SoC flow.

• Perform RTL synthesis activities including equivalence checks, low-power checks and design ECOs.
• Lead Static Timing Analysis (STA): develop and verify timing constraints, perform hierarchical timing budgeting and analysis.
• Create and drive ECOs to achieve timing closure for subsystems and full SoC.
• Implement physical design for critical subsystems and collaborate on place-and-route decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve STA and physical design issues; contribute to methodology and tool improvements.
• Collaborate across global teams to align methodologies and share best practices.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Must-have: Expertise in Static Timing Analysis including timing-constraints development and timing closure.
• Must-have: Knowledge of synthesis flows, logical equivalence checking (LEC) and low-power verification.
• Must-have: Knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS process technology.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication for a global environment.
• Must-have: Strong automation skills (Perl, Python, TCL) for tool flows and scripts.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with physical implementation (place & route) for SoC designs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (BS/MS in EE/CE) as stated in the posting.
