Senior Principal Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Provide technical leadership for development of next-generation mixed-signal and power-management integrated circuits. Lead architecture, technical execution, and cross-functional teams from concept through silicon validation and production.

Serve as an organization-wide technical authority: mentor senior engineers, influence product and technology roadmaps, and represent the company in strategic customer and technology discussions.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires 15+ years of mixed-signal or analog IC design experience and a record of delivering complex semiconductor products.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction and delivery for complex mixed-signal and PMIC projects.

• Define system and circuit architectures for complex mixed-signal and power-management ICs.
• Design and develop multi-phase DC/DC converters, PMICs, precision analog circuits, current sensing, references, regulators, and high-performance interfaces.
• Drive development from concept through silicon validation and production release.
• Establish design methodologies, best practices, and engineering standards across projects.
• Lead architectural tradeoffs on performance, power, area, cost, reliability, and schedule.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams (design, verification, layout, product engineering, applications, test).
• Mentor and develop engineers at all levels and guide architectural decisions and IP/platform strategy.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex silicon and system-level issues; support production characterization and debug.
• Engage with customers on strategic technical discussions.

Requirements

Must-have:

• 15+ years of mixed-signal or analog IC design experience with demonstrated success developing and releasing complex semiconductor products.
• Deep expertise in CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit design and power-management architectures.
• Extensive transistor-level design experience and strong silicon debug and characterization skills.
• Expert proficiency with Cadence and SPICE-based design environments.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Nice-to-have:

• Technical leadership of multiple successful production IC developments.
• Experience with large PMIC, automotive, industrial, or high-reliability semiconductor programs.
• Track record of architectural innovation leading to reusable IP or platform technologies.
• Experience driving cross-site technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineering staff; customer-facing leadership with strategic accounts.

Education Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering).
