Job Title

Senior/Principal Engineer, Process Integration - NAND (NTI)

Role Summary

Responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and implementing process solutions to improve next-generation 3D NAND product yield, quality, cost, and performance within required timelines. Works within the Singapore R&D organization and coordinates with R&D, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of semiconductor industry experience in process integration and yield enhancement; role expects leadership in cross-functional programs and technology transfers.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include problem identification, process development, coordination with manufacturing, and leadership of cross-functional activities.

  • Identify and quantify module deficiencies and technology gaps; lead cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Improve process flows and develop integration solutions to meet product requirements and manufacturability.
  • Develop or redefine CSPEC criteria and drive activities to ensure manufacturing process capability.
  • Coordinate manufacturing-site activities to secure experiments, conversions, and communicate decisions to R&D, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Lead development projects to evaluate and implement new integration schemes and establish proofs of concept for future nodes.
  • Present findings and actions at yield summits and program reviews; align R&D, Manufacturing, and senior management.
  • Support transfer of new technology from R&D to manufacturing and aid ramp-up, qualification, documentation, and training.
  • Apply AI and data-driven methods to streamline workflows, optimize processes, and support decision making across projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and behavioral traits are listed below; desirable items are noted.

  • Must-have: Minimum of 3 years semiconductor experience in process integration and yield enhancement.
  • Must-have: Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and process-integration optimization skills.
  • Must-have: Excellent communication and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Must-have: Self-motivated, able to work in a demanding, dynamic environment, and committed to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Must-have: Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods to the US for collaborative R&D work.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency with scripting/programming and analytics tools (for example Python, SolidWorks, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Nice-to-have: Direct experience with NAND/non-volatile memories, NAND process flow, device interactions, and common yield/reliability issues.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to R&D (e.g., HKMG) and technology transfer/manufacturing environments.

Education Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
