Role Summary
Senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, and integrating digital ASIC and FPGA solutions for Mission Systems programs at Collins Aerospace in Fort Wayne, IN. Provides technical leadership to project teams and ensures successful system-level integration, verification, and delivery.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Capture requirements and design ASIC/FPGA digital architecture.
- Perform RTL development, timing analysis, verification, and system integration.
- Develop and execute RTL verification testbenches and verification strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in ASIC/FPGA design processes and flows.
- Contribute to engineering estimates and technical planning for new programs.
- Plan and execute project-level work to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives.
- Provide technical leadership to project design teams, coordinate activities, and report status.
- Support cross-functional collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and qualifications:
- Hands-on RTL design experience using VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Experience in digital circuit architecture and timing analysis (senior-level experience expected).
- Experience developing RTL verification testbenches using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency with ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., ModelSim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience with aerospace/mission-systems programs and system-level integration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience (as stated in the posting).
