Job Title

Senior/Principal DRAM Product Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for defining and executing reliability characterization, modeling, and analysis for DRAM products to support lifetime predictions, qualification decisions, and technology improvements. Works within the DRAM Technology group and partners with design, process, test, and qualification teams across global sites.

Combines hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and modeling to identify failure mechanisms and translate findings into product and process improvements.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 5+ years of industry or related experience (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

The role focuses on reliability testing, modeling, data analysis, and cross-functional integration.

  • Design and execute reliability characterization and stress tests; collect and analyze failure data.
  • Develop models to predict product lifetime under field-use and accelerated conditions.
  • Apply automation and AI-driven approaches to improve reliability prediction methods and workflows.
  • Analyze large-scale reliability datasets to identify degradation trends, failure signatures, and early warning indicators.
  • Partner with design, process, test, and qualification teams to translate reliability insights into actionable improvements.
  • Communicate technical findings through presentations, technical forums, and written reports to support key risk decisions.
  • Share knowledge and mentor peers to contribute to a strong technical culture.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for the role.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of industry or related engineering experience; proven analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines; clear and effective technical communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with physics-based, statistical, or machine learning modeling; hands-on experience with semiconductor test equipment or reliability stress systems; understanding of CMOS process degradation mechanisms and digital/analog circuit operation; scripting or programming for data analysis and automation (e.g., Python).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
