Senior Principal Analog Design Lead

Role Summary

Lead definition of SoC analog architecture and analog IP requirements for microcontroller (MCU) products. Drive circuit-architecture decisions and oversee design implementation, simulation, layout and validation to deliver robust, production-ready mixed-signal IP (ADC, DAC, PLLs, oscillators, references, LDOs, amplifiers, filters, etc.).

Manage and mentor the analog team assigned to projects, coordinate with SOC teams and project leaders, and provide technical documentation for design reviews, integration and industrialization.

Experience Level

Senior-level - requires 15+ years of product development experience in IC design.

Responsibilities

Accountable for analog IP delivery across the design lifecycle and for leading the analog team on assigned SOC projects.

• Define SoC analog architecture and IP-level specifications for new MCU designs.
• Drive circuit architectures and implement designs that meet performance, reliability and industrialization targets.
• Lead the analog design team during SOC development and align work with global R&D design methodology.
• Perform and verify simulations (behavioral and transistor-level) and ensure silicon matches expected performance.
• Collaborate with SOC teams for quality integration of analog IP/modules into SOCs.
• Produce technical documentation for design reviews, SOC integration and industrialization requirements.
• Provide post tape‑out support: characterization, production test, life testing and debug.

Requirements

Core technical and leadership qualifications required to perform the role.

• Must-have: 15+ years of product development experience at an IC-design company.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience with one or more analog/mixed-signal IP areas: ADC, DAC, PLL, oscillators, voltage/current references, LDO, DC-DC, PGA, amplifiers, filters.
• Must-have: Strong communication, teamwork and people‑management skills; experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Nice-to-have: Experience creating/using behavioral models (AMS, DMS, MATLAB, SystemC or equivalent).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with industrialization, production test, and support of post-tape-out activities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred. (No certifications or equivalent-experience language specified.)
