Role Summary

The Senior Principal Analog Design Engineer will design digital logic circuits for integration into mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). This role focuses on managing the design and verification of circuits, utilizing AI and machine learning techniques for improvement.

Experience Level

Senior; requires a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in digital integrated circuit design and verification.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Designing digital logic circuits for mixed-signal ICs.
• Performing static design verification and analyzing design quality.
• Conducting applied research into AI and ML techniques to enhance design flows.
• Developing behavioral models for analog components using high-level techniques.
• Building FPGA prototypes for logic emulation and testing.
• Collaborating with firmware teams for pre-silicon validation.
• Participating in post-silicon analysis to identify issues and recommend fixes.
• Developing automation tools to optimize verification workflows.

Requirements

Minimum requirements include:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in digital circuit design for mixed-signal products.
• Proficiency in using simulation tools, such as Cadence Xcelium.
• Experience with digital function design and verification projects.
• Competence in RTL design with Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with static design checks (Lint, CDC, RDC).
• Experience with FPGA prototyping and pre-silicon validation.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools for digital design automation.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, or a Bachelor's degree with additional experience.
