Senior Power Integrity Methodology CAD Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain physical-design methodologies and CAD flows for power integrity (EMIR) analysis and signoff for NVIDIA ASICs. Deliver scalable workflows and tool integrations that enable reliable rail analysis, noise analysis, and convergence across multiple projects.

Senior β€” minimum 10+ years of experience in EMIR flow methodology development and support.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop physical-design methodologies and CAD flows for rail analysis, EMIR analysis, and signoff.
  • Design and implement innovative IR analysis and signoff solutions tailored to NVIDIA chips.
  • Craft and maintain workflows and tool methodologies for power and noise analysis across multiple projects.
  • Implement shift-left approaches to optimize EMIR convergence earlier in the chip development cycle.
  • Collaborate with hardware, design, and verification teams to enable timely EMIR signoff and resolve cross-team issues.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills.

Must-have

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in EMIR flow methodology development and support.
  • Deep understanding of EMIR analysis and signoff processes and requirements.
  • Familiarity with hierarchical design approaches and hierarchical signoff.
  • Experience with shift-left methodologies for EMIR optimization and earlier convergence.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting (TCL, Perl, Python, C++).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with experience collaborating across engineering teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience building custom CAD workflows from scratch.
  • Experience applying AI/automation tools to power-integrity analysis and flow improvements.
  • Proven adaptability and problem-solving in fast-paced hardware development environments.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
