Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Using tools for pre-silicon power analysis to enhance product power efficiency.
- Developing best practices for pre-silicon power analysis.
- Conducting comparative power analyses to identify trends and anomalies.
- Collaborating with architects and RTL designers to interpret power data and address issues.
- Selecting and running workloads for power analysis.
- Prototyping architectural features in Verilog and analyzing their power impact.
- Automating workflows for power anomaly detection.
- Applying AI to develop power optimization solutions.
Requirements
The following skills and experience are required:
- Master's degree (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years in related fields, or a PhD.
- Understanding of energy consumption, estimation, data movement, and low power design.
- Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles, including tools like Power Artist and PTPX.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills for collaboration with design teams.
- Proficient in coding and automation skills, preferably in Python, Perl, and C++.
- Desire to utilize data-driven decision-making for product improvement.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
