Job Title

Senior Physical Verification Engineer

Role Summary

This role joins the EDA/DRC engineering team to enable physical design verification for RF ICs, acoustic wave filters, and modules. The engineer will develop and maintain physical verification decks, automation utilities, and provide verification and EDA tool support to design teams.

Experience Level

Senior / Professional. Typical background: 5+ years of related industry experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include providing physical verification and EDA support across multiple module technologies.

  • Implement and maintain DRC, LVS and PERC rule decks for physical verification.
  • Support and enhance design verification flows and EDA tool integrations.
  • Create project specifications and verification requirements with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Provide user support for design tools such as AWR, ADS and Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Maintain EDA infrastructure and assist with installation and setup of EDA tools.
  • Develop scripts and utilities (automation) to solve design engineering problems.
  • Build and maintain internal documentation and SharePoint sites for the EDA team.
  • Work with module technologies including SAW/BAW, laminate, GaAs/GaN and silicon IC processes.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of relevant physical verification or EDA experience (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Hands-on experience with industry physical verification tools (Siemens Calibre, Synopsys ICV, Cadence PVS, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Linux and scripting/programming (TCL, VB, C, Perl, Python).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex technology integration environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be a US Person or otherwise eligible for ITAR/EAR export authorizations.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with EDA and physical design verification flows for high-performance RF ICs and modules.
  • Familiarity with Cadence MicroWave Office, Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, or Siemens Pyxis.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
