Senior Physical Design Backend Engineer
Role Summary
NVIDIA is seeking experienced Physical Design Engineers to join our Networking Silicon Engineering team. The role involves developing high-speed communication devices that deliver optimal throughput and minimal latency.
Experience Level
Senior level position requiring 5+ years of experience in Physical Design.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Physical design of blocks against specifications while optimizing power, area, and performance.
- Resolving complex timing and congestion issues in high cell count blocks.
- Conducting all aspects of physical design chip development including synthesis, power and clock distribution, place and route, timing closure, power and noise analysis, and physical verification.
- Participating in flow development.
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Physical Design.
- Experience with RTL2GDS flows and methodologies.
- Knowledge in physical design flows and methodologies, including PNR, STA, and physical verification.
- Deep understanding of Physical construction and integration.
- Strong background in Physical Design Verification methodology (LVS/DRC).
- Familiarity with physical design EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence).
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
