Senior Photolithography Process Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing photolithography processes to improve yield, reduce cost, increase productivity and resolve manufacturing issues for DRAM production at the Boise site. Works with cross-functional teams including equipment and integration engineers to implement robust process solutions during ramp and volume production.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on process control, yield improvement, and transfer of photolithography processes into manufacturing.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include process development, yield and defect reduction, and collaboration to resolve production issues.

  • Start up, develop, and optimize photolithography processes for DRAM production.
  • Drive yield, defectivity, cost, and productivity improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing line issues impacting product quality.
  • Collaborate with equipment and integration engineers to identify and fix production-impacting problems.
  • Manage projects and milestones to close yield and production gaps.
  • Own and drive improvements on statistical process control (SPC) charts for owned processes.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications, followed by preferred skills.

  • Must-have: Minimum 2+ years industry experience as a Process Owner within Photolithography.
  • Must-have: Hands-on DRAM development and manufacturing experience; strong process-area knowledge.
  • Must-have: Experience collaborating with equipment/integration engineers and driving corrective actions.
  • Must-have: Project management capability to deliver milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
  • Must-have: Ownership of SPC charts and demonstrated ability to improve process control metrics.
  • Must-have: Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency in data analysis, data science, or programming to support process optimization.
  • Nice-to-have: Deep understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment, advanced analytical and communication skills.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in an engineering field is listed as required; equivalent military experience is acceptable. Alternatively, an AAS plus 5+ years of industry experience is listed as an acceptable combination.
