Senior PDK Reliability Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
Senior PDK Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Deliver reliability design enablement for Intel Foundry technology nodes by developing and validating PDKs, tool/flow/methodology (TFM), foundational IP, and design-for-reliability collateral to support internal and external customer designs.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Requires multiple years of relevant engineering experience; see Education Requirements for degree-and-experience combinations.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining PDK reliability artifacts, enabling verification flows, and collaborating across teams and vendors.
- Define and generate reliability-related PDK design rules, collateral, QA processes, and benchmarking deliverables.
- Drive EDA tool and flow enablement in coordination with PDK development and EDA vendors to support reliability verification.
- Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking of technology reliability; plan and deliver PDK, TFM, design rules, and IP ecosystem items.
- Collaborate with IP, SoC and design teams on reliability validation, design impact assessment, and sign-off activities.
- Lead quality-improvement initiatives, documentation, and cross-functional program execution.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements.
- 3+ years' experience in one or more: PDK development, reliability tool/flow development, design-for-reliability, or circuit/IP/SoC reliability validation using PDKs and EDA tools.
- Proven ability to enable EDA tools/flows and work with EDA vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Programming, scripting, or automation experience (including use of AI tools) to generate design rules, techfiles, or QA scripts.
- Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and program management skills; attention to detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on PDK validation experience and knowledge of PDK fundamentals and TFM implementation.
- Experience with reliability mechanisms and physics such as BTI, HCI, electro-migration, high-voltage design, EOS, and ESD.
- Experience assessing design impact and risk in reliability-related areas.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field plus 6+ years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 4+ years relevant experience; or PhD plus 2+ years relevant experience. Preferred: Master's or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or related fields.
