Senior PDK/CAD Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior PDK/CAD Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining process design kits (PDKs) across various technology nodes and foundries. This role necessitates collaboration with different departments, especially software teams, and provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge semiconductor technologies in a dynamic start-up environment.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and supporting PDKs across various technology nodes and foundries (e.g., TSMC, GF, Samsung).
  • Writing, debugging, and maintaining automation scripts (Python, Skill) for design workflows.
  • Providing support for analog design verification tools, including DRC, LVS, PEX, and Dummy Fill.
  • Assisting in diagnosing and resolving front-end simulation issues.
  • Collaborating with design and verification teams on analog design challenges.
  • Ensuring efficient version control and collaboration through Git.
  • Contributing to the development and integration of CI/CD pipelines for CAD flows.

Requirements

The following are required:

  • Proven experience in EDA/CAD/PDK development.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Skill programming languages.
  • Strong experience with analog verification tools (e.g., DRC, LVS, PEX, Dummy Fill).
  • Good understanding of front-end simulation environments.
  • Practical knowledge of analog design constraints and best practices.
  • Exposure to multiple PDKs across leading foundries (e.g., TSMC, GlobalFoundries, Samsung).
  • Experience with automation workflows and maintaining scripting infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline implementation.
