Senior PCVD Process Engineer

Role Summary

Lead start-up, development, and optimization of PCVD/PVD processes for DRAM manufacturing at Micron's Boise site. Drive yield, defectivity, cost, productivity, and risk-reduction improvements and resolve manufacturing-line issues through cross-functional collaboration.

Experience Level

Senior. Expect a minimum of 2+ years industry experience as a Process Owner within PVD/CVD and experience supporting manufacturing in a semiconductor fab.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include process development, yield improvement, and cross-team problem resolution.

• Lead start-up, development, and optimization of PCVD/PVD processes for DRAM products.
• Improve process yield, reduce defects, lower cost, and increase productivity.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve manufacturing line problems and manage associated risks.
• Collaborate with equipment and integrations engineers to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
• Use project management skills to meet milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
• Monitor and drive improvements on owned SPC (statistical process control) charts.
• Support production scale-up and transfer of processes to manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Must-have

• 2+ years of industry experience working as a Process Owner within PVD/CVD.
• Experience supporting manufacturing in a semiconductor fabrication facility.
• Strong process-area knowledge, including DRAM development and manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with equipment and integration teams and managing technical projects to completion.

Nice-to-have

• Proficiency in data science and programming for process analysis.
• Interest or experience with adopting agentic AI to improve work processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BS) or Master's degree in an engineering field, or equivalent military experience. Alternatively, an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) with 5+ years of industry experience.
