Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include specification implementation, RTL development, and cross-team collaboration:
- Develop and maintain RTL (typically SystemVerilog) for PCIe and CXL protocol blocks.
- Translate protocol and microarchitecture specifications into synthesizable RTL.
- Create and run simulations to verify functionality; debug failures and close functional issues.
- Work with synthesis and timing teams to meet area, power, and timing targets; support timing closure activities.
- Collaborate with verification, firmware, and physical design teams during bring-up and integration.
- Support silicon bring-up and debug as needed (root-cause analysis, instrumentation, lab validation).
