Senior PCB Design & Hardware Verification Engineer (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Design and verify complex multi-layer mixed-signal PCBs and manage associated hardware verification activities for manufacturing and test. The role works with cross-functional teams (Applications, Quality, Design) and external suppliers to deliver production-ready boards and verified test setups.
Experience Level
Senior - typically a candidate with substantial experience (commonly 7+ years) in PCB design and hardware verification.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities focus on PCB layout, supplier management, test setup verification, and hardware validation.
- Perform PCB layout and verification from provided schematics for complex multi-layer, mixed-signal designs.
- Manage external PCB manufacturing and assembly: request quotes, coordinate purchasing, and follow supplier processes.
- Organize and lead PCB layout review meetings with Applications, Quality, and Design teams.
- Support component library development for internal PCB design tools.
- Verify technical drawings for compatibility with tester, prober, and handler production setups.
- Track project status, escalate schedule or technical deviations, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Address supplier quality issues, request and verify corrective actions (CAR), and track supplier KPIs.
- Verify hardware optically and electrically using automated test equipment (ATE) and bench board checkers; create probe card analyzer recipes and board-checker programs.
- Maintain and repair hardware boards, sockets, and manage hardware shipments and verification reports.
Requirements

Must-have:
- Proven experience with complex mixed-signal, multi-layer PCB design and verification.
- Strong knowledge of PCB design practices, manufacturing processes, and assembly technologies.
- Experience using automated test equipment (ATE) and hardware verification tools.
- Proven ability to manage supplier interactions and resolve quality issues.
- Advanced organizational skills and experience working in international, cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills; able to communicate with vendors and internal customers.
Nice-to-have:
- Project management skills.
- Experience with Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro.
- Programming skills in Python or Delphi for automation and tooling.
Education Requirements
Engineering degree in Electronics or equivalent education; equivalent practical experience is explicitly acceptable.
