Job Title

Senior NPI Technical Program Manager - Operations

Role Summary

Individual contributor responsible for managing the Operations NPI schedule and milestones to take silicon products from tape-out to production release. Member of the Silicon Operations Group working cross-functionally with ASIC, product, test, system, software engineering, planning, logistics and quality teams.

Primary mission is to drive NPI readiness and production ramps by tracking risks, dependencies, supply, and metrics, and by improving NPI processes and efficiency.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 7+ years of experience in engineering or technical/program management roles supporting semiconductor or hardware NPI.

Responsibilities

Manage and drive cross-functional activities required to prepare products for production release.

  • Track and communicate schedule, constraints, risks, dependencies and critical paths across ASIC, product, test, system, software and planning teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communications and publish progress and roadblocks to management.
  • Facilitate cross-team problem-solving and drive issues to closure.
  • Collaborate on the Plan of Record (POR) and ensure qualification plans, checklists and specifications support production release.
  • Develop and own wafer/hardware risk plans, internal and external sample supply, and NPI bring-up budgets/OPEX.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional NPI meetings and highlight operational issues impacting production readiness.
  • Define and own metrics for NPI supply commitments, production ramp and release turning points.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across Operations and cross-functional NPI teams.

Requirements

Core skills and experience required to perform the role.

  • 7+ years in engineering or technical/program management roles supporting semiconductor manufacturing or hardware NPI (experience requirement listed under Experience Level).
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing flow and processes.
  • Proficiency with program-management and planning tools; ability to analyze and improve supply chain and operations processes.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and cross-functional influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational metrics for NPI projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent practical experience; Master's degree preferred. Project or program management certifications (for example PMP) are a plus. Equivalent experience in relevant technical fields is acceptable.
