Senior NPI Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor ICs, guiding programs from concept to high-volume manufacturing and end-of-life. Work cross-functionally with Design, Test, Validation, Quality, Reliability, Applications, and Operations to ensure product conformance, manufacturability, and successful production transfer.

Responsibilities
Accountable for technical leadership and execution of NPI programs, testability, product characterization, yield optimization, and transfer to volume manufacturing.
- Lead NPI programs from product concept through final product release and production transfer; prepare manufacturing and OSAT documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Design, Test, Characterization, Validation, Quality, Reliability, Applications, Operations) and participate in milestone reviews.
- Define and drive Design for Testability (DfT) and Design for Manufacturability (DfM) requirements; support ATE test program development and optimization.
- Develop and execute characterization plans (wafer-level and bench); perform ATE-to-bench correlation and PVT analysis.
- Analyze data, run DOE to improve performance and yield, and identify/resolve yield limiters with Design, Test, and Foundry teams.
- Manage failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement for manufacturing and field returns.
- Mentor junior product engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
Key skills, tools, and domain experience required or strongly preferred.
- Must-have: Experience in semiconductor product, test, and/or design engineering with hands-on involvement in NPI or production transfers.
- Must-have: Practical experience with quality systems and documentation (corrective actions, 8D, non-conformance, failure analysis).
- Must-have: Strong statistical and data-analysis skills for DOE, yield reporting and modeling; familiarity with tools such as Excel, JMP, Galaxy, or dataConductor.
- Must-have: Knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
- Must-have: Familiarity with JEDEC and/or MIL quality requirements.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed ATE test platforms (e.g. Advantest, Teradyne) or equivalent rack solutions.
- Must-have: Strong cross-functional communication, program leadership, and mentorship abilities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
