Senior Mixed Signal Engineer
SECQAIJob Title
Senior Mixed Signal Engineer
Role Summary
Senior individual contributor and technical leader on SECQAI's SoC hardware team, responsible for mixed-signal and high-speed interface circuit design through silicon bring-up. The role collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate third-party IP, support verification and production, and contribute to roadmap and architecture decisions.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 9+ years of relevant mixed-signal/SoC design and implementation experience in advanced technology nodes.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities focus on mixed-signal SoC circuit design, integration, verification, and production support.
- Architect, design, and integrate high-speed interfaces and analog mixed-signal circuits for next-generation SoCs.
- Define circuit requirements and drive designs from schematic through layout, verification, characterization, and tape‑out readiness.
- Collaborate with third-party IP providers to integrate and validate external blocks.
- Work with software, CPU, verification, security, and R&D teams to optimize system-level performance and interfaces.
- Support post-silicon verification, bring-up, debugging, and production support with product test teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, roadmap planning, and technical documentation; review peers' documentation and designs.
- Occasional travel to meet customers and partners as required for integration and validation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; desirable items listed separately.
- 9+ years of relevant mixed-signal architecture, design and implementation experience in advanced nodes.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving technical delivery.
- Expert understanding of signal integrity, mixed-signal design, and advanced-node analog/digital interfaces.
- Proficient with industry-standard EDA and analysis tools across the design flow (examples: MATLAB, Cadence, Synopsys, OpenROAD or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience across schematic capture, layout coordination, verification flows, characterization, and silicon bring-up.
- Strong collaboration skills for working across hardware, software, verification, and security teams.
- High standards for design quality, documentation, and reproducible engineering processes.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with RISC-V and CHERI ISAs.
- Experience collaborating on integrated photonics designs.
- Knowledge of functional safety and security engineering practices and standards.
- Multiple designs taken from concept through tape-out.
Education Requirements
B.Eng., M.Eng., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent industry experience.
