Job Title
Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the mixed-signal design team responsible for next-generation NVLINK high-speed interfaces. The role focuses on transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuit design, verification, and silicon characterization for data rates of 25 Gbps and higher.
Experience Level
Senior. The posting specifies 3+ years of industry analog design experience and expects ownership of designs from schematic through silicon characterization.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, verification, and post-silicon support for high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Design and implement high-speed interfaces and analog circuits (25 Gbps and higher) from concept through silicon characterization.
- Define circuit requirements and complete designs at schematic, layout guidance, and verification levels.
- Perform transistor-level design and optimization for system performance.
- Run analog simulations including noise, loop stability, AC/DC/TRAN analyses and Monte Carlo studies.
- Develop and maintain testbench environments and behavioral models for component and top-level verification.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to provide floorplan and matching/high-speed routing guidance.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging and characterization activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable where noted.
- 3+ years analog design experience in industry.
- CMOS analog / mixed-signal circuit design experience in deep-submicron processes, especially FinFET.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence IC design environment and analog simulators such as Spectre, HSpice, Finesim or XA.
- Experience taking high-speed integrated circuit designs from schematic through verification and silicon characterization.
- Experience creating testbenches and behavioral models for analog and digital circuits.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Experience with analog verification techniques: noise analysis, loop stability, AC/DC/transient and Monte Carlo.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
-
Nice to have: prior experience with SERDES/NVLINK or other high-speed interface protocols; transistor-level optimization expertise.
Education Requirements
Master's and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is listed; equivalent practical experience is explicitly acceptable.
