Job Title

Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

This role is on a mixed-signal design team responsible for next-generation high-speed interface technology (NVLINK). The engineer will design, verify, and characterize high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits from schematic through silicon bring-up.

Work spans schematic design, transistor-level architecture, verification, layout collaboration, and post-silicon debugging for products across graphics, autonomous systems, and AI infrastructure.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 11+ years of industry analog/mixed-signal design experience (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Primary duties include circuit design, verification, and supporting silicon bring-up for high-speed interfaces.

  • Develop and implement high-speed interfaces and analog circuits operating at 25 Gbps and above.
  • Define circuit requirements and deliver full designs from schematic to layout and verification.
  • Perform schematic and transistor-level design in deep-submicron CMOS processes.
  • Own architecture, transistor design and verification using industry EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso).
  • Optimize circuits to meet system performance specifications through simulation and analysis.
  • Work closely with layout engineers to provide floorplans and guidance for matching and high-speed routing.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up and debugging activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 11+ years of analog design experience in industry.
  • Experience with CMOS analog / mixed-signal circuit design in deep-submicron processes, including FINFET.
  • Proficiency with analog design and verification tools (Cadence IC design environment, Spectre, HSpice, Finesim, XA, or similar).
  • Experience creating testbench environments for component and top-level verification.
  • Behavioral modeling of analog and digital circuits.
  • Analog simulation skills: noise analysis, loop stability, AC/DC/transient analysis, Monte Carlo, etc.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineers.

Education Requirements

Master's and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable (posting specifies "Master and/or PhD ... or equivalent experience").
