Senior Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior engineer on the mixed-signal design team responsible for developing next-generation high-speed interfaces (TX/RX/Clocking/PLL) for NVLINK. Work spans IC design through silicon characterization for data rates of 50 Gbps and higher across NVIDIA product lines.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting indicates a typical requirement of 3+ years of industry analog design experience.
Responsibilities
Design, verify, and deliver high-speed mixed-signal circuits from concept through silicon characterization.
- Define circuit requirements and complete designs at schematic, layout, and verification stages to characterization.
- Schematic design and simulation in deep-submicron CMOS processes using tools such as Spectre or HSpice.
- Architect transistor-level circuits and verify using Cadence Virtuoso and industry EDA tools.
- Optimize circuits to meet system performance specifications for high-speed interfaces.
- Collaborate with layout engineers on floorplanning, matching, and high-speed routing guidance.
- Support post-silicon bring-up and debugging.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required for the role.
- 3+ years analog/mixed-signal design experience in industry.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed interface design and characterization at 50 Gbps and above (TX/RX/clocking/PLL).
- Experience with CMOS analog/mixed-signal design in deep-submicron processes, particularly FINFET technologies.
- Proficiency with analog circuit simulation and EDA tools (Cadence IC design environment, Spectre, HSpice, Finesim, XA).
- Experience building testbench environments and behavioral models for component and top-level verification.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills; analog simulation for noise, loop stability, AC/DC/transient analysis, Monte Carlo, etc.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-discipline collaboration.
Education Requirements
Master of Science (MS) or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. (The posting specifies a Master's degree as the education expectation.)
