Senior Methodology Software Engineer

Role Summary

Senior engineer on the Mixed Signal Design team responsible for designing and building software workflows and tools to support hardware design, testing, debugging, and data analysis.

The role focuses on automating test flows, collecting and processing large datasets, building web interfaces and visualization tools, and applying AI to improve data workflows and user productivity.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Automate hardware testing workflows and test farms using Python (and Perl where applicable).
• Implement data collection, parsing, querying, and analysis pipelines for hardware test data.
• Develop web applications and backend services (REST/HTTP) to expose tooling and analysis.
• Design user interfaces and data visualizations to simplify complex hardware tasks and results interpretation.
• Optimize parallel processing and distributed compute workflows for large datasets and compute-farm execution.
• Integrate AI techniques to streamline user workflows and assist data-driven debugging.
• Assist with building and debugging hardware test scripts in Python and JavaScript.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualities:

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP servers, and database systems.
• Experience handling large datasets and implementing parallel or distributed processing in Python.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Perl experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
