Job Title

Senior Memory Controller Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of GPU memory-subsystem IP, partnering with architecture and design teams to define and execute verification and performance test plans. The role contributes to verification for product lines including consumer graphics, autonomous vehicles, HPC, cloud, and AI.

Responsibilities

Primary verification and sign-off responsibilities for memory-controller and related RTL blocks.

  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, checkers, monitors, and random stimulus.
  • Create, review, and execute functional and performance test plans.
  • Drive coverage closure and ensure functional correctness and performance requirements are met.
  • Integrate and enable FPGA and software teams for system-level testing.
  • Participate in post-silicon verification and debug activities.

Requirements

Key technical qualifications and skills required or strongly expected.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of ASIC verification experience on complex design units with demonstrated problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM-based methodologies for ASIC verification.
  • Must-have: Experience with simulation and debug tools (VCS or equivalent; familiarity with debug tools such as Debussy, and software debuggers like GDB).
  • Must-have: Experience planning and executing performance verification and coverage-driven verification.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong C/C++ programming skills and scripting (Python/Perl/shell).
  • Nice-to-have: Prior design or verification experience with dynamic memory controllers (DDR2/3/4/5, LPDDR, HBM, GDDR).
  • Nice-to-have: Strong debugging skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree is listed, or equivalent practical experience. No specific field-of-study is required in the posting.
