Role Summary
Work on the next-generation RTL-to-GDSII synthesis flow within a product team focused on hierarchical digital IC design and detail-route-centric implementation. The role drives design and development of RTL synthesis technology, logic optimizations, IP features, and low-power synthesis to improve quality-of-results and runtime.
You'll collaborate with a small team of EDA engineers, lead technical efforts, and deliver scalable tools and automation for complex digital design flows.
Experience Level
Mid-level — 2–5 years of professional software development experience (as stated in the posting).
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Design and implement components of RTL synthesis technology, logic optimization passes, and low-power synthesis features.
- Develop C/C++ software and RTL/C-based IP to enable advanced synthesis and optimization capabilities.
- Lead and mentor peers to drive projects to completion and improve team deliverables.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate automation, verification, and tool workflows.
- Improve tool performance and scalability through parallel algorithms and job distribution strategies.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills and experience.
- Must-have: 2–5 years of software development experience; strong C/C++ skills; solid algorithms and data structures knowledge; strong problem-solving and analytical ability; demonstrated ability to lead or mentor team members.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with RTL synthesis tools, SystemVerilog/VHDL, DFT methodologies, formal verification, or dynamic power analysis.
- Nice-to-have: Experience designing C-based or RTL IP, optimizing RTL and gate-level logic for area/timing/power (PPA), developing parallel algorithms, and implementing job-distribution strategies for tool scalability.
- Nice-to-have: Scripting and automation experience with Python and Tcl to support integration and workflow automation.
Education Requirements
B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering (as stated). The posting specifies these degrees from a reputed engineering college.
