Job Title

Thin Film Process Shift Engineer

Role Summary

Work within Thin Film Process Engineering at Taoyuan Fab 11 to develop, qualify and support thin film deposition processes that meet product quality and yield targets. The role is shift-based and interfaces with tooling engineers, process development, metrology, and manufacturing teams to maintain production performance.

This position focuses on applying and improving thin film processes, troubleshooting in a high-volume semiconductor environment, and implementing yield and process controls.

Responsibilities

Primary duties associated with process development and shift operations.

  • Develop and enhance thin film deposition processes to meet product and industry requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions for yield and performance improvement.
  • Support day/night shift operations by following SOPs and supporting process control activities.
  • Perform process characterization, troubleshooting, and data-driven root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during process work.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Proven experience with thin film deposition techniques and process control.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related area, or equivalent professional experience. The posting also allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal degrees.
