Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and cross-functional collaboration to advance overlay capabilities for bonded wafers.

• Own the overlay roadmap, including bond overlay technologies and scaling requirements.
• Define overlay specifications, error budgets, mark strategies, and technical signoff criteria.
• Develop overlay solutions that meet performance, yield, manufacturability, and scaling targets.
• Advance overlay metrology, automation, process control, modeling, and analytics capabilities.
• Apply simulation, AI/advanced analytics, and experimental methods to accelerate learning and root-cause identification.
• Lead simulation and experimental process development; balance modeling with hands-on characterization.
• Create and maintain overlay error budgets, validation plans, experiments, and technical assessments linking process to device requirements.
• Solve complex overlay issues involving alignment, distortion, deformation, process interactions, and bonded wafers.
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams and lead supplier engagements for lithography, bonding, metrology, and automation.
• Communicate technical recommendations and risks to engineering teams and leadership; mentor engineers to build overlay expertise.

• Ability to translate technical findings into process improvements and clear roadmap recommendations.
• Nice-to-have: experience in DRAM or other memory device integration and familiarity with high-volume manufacturing environments and metrology tools.
