Job Title

Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Role Summary

Lead maintenance, installation, qualification, and continuous improvement of semiconductor test equipment and supporting hardware to ensure robust tester performance and production readiness. Provide technical troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and external test factories.

Position is based in Singapore with a hybrid working arrangement; office located near Tai Seng MRT.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires at least 7 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test or wafer probe environments.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include ensuring tester readiness, reliability, and timely support for manufacturing sites.

  • Evaluate, propose, and co-develop test hardware for reliable, production-ready tester configurations.
  • Establish tester hardware qualification and buyoff procedures for mass production.
  • Oversee installation, modification, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of internally developed testers.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, upgrades, technical notices, maintenance activities, and inventory.
  • Develop solutions and improvement programs to enhance tester reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and on-site support to manufacturing sites and external test factories.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate tester-related improvement projects with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional experience for immediate contribution.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test or wafer probe environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB hardware, schematics, and circuit troubleshooting; RF experience is a plus.
  • Experience setting up laboratory test instruments and evaluating PCB and test-equipment suppliers.
  • Experience with industry-standard automated test handlers.
  • Working knowledge of Linux commands and programming or scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Experience developing and implementing equipment or process improvements.
  • Familiarity with quality procedures, technical documentation, and change-control practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong troubleshooting, communication, project coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to support multiple manufacturing priorities; willing to travel to manufacturing sites for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and training.

Nice-to-have:

  • Soldering and hardware rework skills with knowledge of IPC workmanship standards.
  • Project management experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
