Job Title
Senior Manager, Test, Manufacturability, Reliability & Quality
Role Summary
The Senior Manager will lead the Test, Manufacturability, Reliability & Quality (TMRQ) organization within NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group, owning technical execution from first power-on through high-volume production.
Responsibilities span production test development (SLT, BLT), control-run flows, system reliability stress (HTOL), platform- and board-level manufacturing issue closure, and field diagnostic test development. This role is accountable for program outcomes that affect yield, ramp, and customer escapes.
Experience Level
Senior β requires extensive experience (see Requirements). The posting requests 12+ years in relevant engineering roles with 5+ years of management experience.
Responsibilities
The role is a hands-on technical leadership position responsible for delivery, operational improvements, and cross-functional resolution of production issues.
- Own technical execution and velocity for SLT, BLT, Control Runs, and system reliability stress (HTOL) across GPU, SoC, and CPU programs.
- Drive root-cause analysis and closure for multi-functional failures (Vmin, binning escapes, performance shortfalls, power anomalies) across design, DFT, ATE, package, firmware, and manufacturing; own WARs and productized fixes through confirmation.
- Translate integration signals (CR fallout, yield metrics, reliability data, RMA trends, customer escalations) into decision-ready options for executive leadership impacting POR, QS/PS gates, and ramp risks.
- Establish operational objectives and closed-loop methodologies to improve cycle time, first-pass yield, test time, escape rate, and DPPM.
- Own platform and board manufacturing issues and field escapes: conduct root-cause analysis and implement screening, process, or build changes to improve quality.
- Hire, develop, and retain managers and lead engineers across geographies; grow individual contributors and first-line managers into independent technical leaders.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- 12+ years in production test, system validation, post-silicon integration, or reliability engineering in a high-volume silicon environment, including 5+ years in management.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals across DFT, BIST, digital design, computer architecture, fault models and analysis, power and timing analysis, sampling, and statistics.
- Hands-on expertise across the production test stack (ATE, SLT, BLT), Control Run methodology, FinFET-class manufacturing processes, and PVT/binning dependencies.
- Proven experience resolving complex cross-functional failures and driving corrective actions through verification and production confirmation.
Nice-to-have:
- Background on GPU, CPU, AI accelerator, or other large-SoC programs.
- Applied AI tools in production test or debug workflows with measurable workflow impact and appropriate guardrails.
- Track record of building and retaining senior technical talent in matrixed organizations and developing first-line managers into autonomous leaders.
- Ability to operate independently on highly ambiguous problems while collaborating across functions.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
