Job Title

Senior Manager, RF Design Engineering

Role Summary

Lead design and delivery of integrated RF modules (power amplifiers, switches, LNAs, controllers) for mobile handset applications. Provide technical leadership across architecture, design execution, verification, and production ramp activities.

Manage and mentor a team of RF design engineers while partnering with verification, test, product management and manufacturing to meet customer and roadmap requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecture, design execution, verification, and production support.

  • Define module architectures to meet customer specifications for 4G/5G/6G handset applications.
  • Design and optimize compact multi-chip RF modules (PAs, switches, LNAs, controllers) in the 1–10 GHz range.
  • Analyze sample performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve simulation accuracy.
  • Plan and execute characterization, design verification, test development, and production ramp support.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of RF design engineers; improve design flows and processes.
  • Provide technical leadership across product development phases and present results to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in RF design and product execution; proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Hands-on RF module design experience in the 1–10 GHz range.
  • Experience with ADS or AWR and HFSS or equivalent EM simulation tools.
  • Solid RF system knowledge (ACLR, NF, IP3, Rx sensitivity, isolation requirements).
  • Good understanding of cellular RF systems and worldwide carrier requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Project management and talent management experience.
  • Experience improving design flows, processes, and cross-functional execution.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred. The posting allows an equivalent amount of advanced degree and experience (i.e., advanced degree or equivalent practical experience). Field: Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
