Senior Manager - HIG HBM PSE - Design Validation

Role Summary

Lead design validation for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products, owning validation from develop through initial bring-up, qualification, and volume production.

The role interfaces with Develop, Manufacturing, Test, Quality and external customers and manages a product engineering/design validation team focused on silicon validation and lab bring-up.

Responsibilities

The position focuses on technical leadership and hands-on validation of HBM designs and stacks.

• Interpret and apply JEDEC specifications for HBM designs.
• Produce and maintain internal architecture documentation; apply schematic and layout knowledge to builds.
• Perform silicon validation and debug HBM builds using hardware and software lab debug, circuit simulation, and data analysis.
• Collaborate and communicate with the PE team and cross-functional partners (Develop, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, customers).
• Improve validation methodologies, workflows, and processes.

• Must-have:
  • Experience with schematic work, circuit simulation, data analysis, lab debug, and pattern manipulation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage time productively and work effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation mindset, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and a track record of improving procedures or products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred academic background or coursework includes VLSI and semiconductor process topics; familiarity with Python and C/C++ is noted as beneficial.
