Role Summary

Lead the establishment and growth of Nexperia's India Design Centre as a strategic R&D hub for BG MOS. Build and run a high-performing engineering organization responsible for product development, advanced technology concepts and future semiconductor innovations aligned with the global technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, people management and operational setup for a design centre. Key responsibilities include:

• Establish and scale the India Design Centre (IDC); coordinate location, legal, finance and facilities as required.
• Build, hire, mentor and lead a multi-disciplinary R&D organization, including managers and technical leads.
• Define and implement operational infrastructure, processes and resource planning for a high-performing engineering team.
• Oversee delivery of product portfolio and roadmap activities; ensure on-time delivery from concept to production.
• Provide technical leadership on BG MOSFET technologies: process and boundary-condition simulation, predictive reliability/stress simulation, die design and layout.
• Contribute to and influence the global technology roadmap and strategy for MOSFET technologies and packaging.
• Lead external engagement: universities, research institutes and industry partners; raise local profile and branding.
• Set and meet KPIs such as product and roadmap delivery, team growth, competency development and talent retention.

Requirements

Must-have skills, experience and behaviours required to succeed in this role:

• 15+ years of semiconductor R&D experience with a proven track record of delivering products from concept to production.
• Proven experience leading and scaling multi-disciplinary engineering organisations and managing managers.
• Deep technical expertise in power MOSFET technologies and packaging; experience with process simulation, reliability and die-level considerations.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills; track record of delivering novel product/technology projects on time.
• Established external network in power semiconductor technology and experience engaging partners and research institutions.
• Leadership competencies: effective communication across levels, hiring and talent development, collaboration and drive to deliver.
• Nice-to-have: experience establishing an R&D center or coordinating site expansion and operations.

Education Requirements

PhD or Master’s degree in Electronics, Physics or a related discipline is listed as desirable.
