Job Title
Senior Logic Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead microarchitecture and RTL design for AI-focused accelerator IPs and subsystems, taking blocks from concept through silicon. Work on a small, cross-functional team building next-generation GenAI hardware where engineers influence architecture, design flow, and tool adoption.
This role emphasizes technical leadership, ownership of design quality, and practical application of AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and debug.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 6+ years of hands-on logic design experience delivering complex RTL/microarchitecture to silicon.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end microarchitecture and RTL ownership, collaboration across teams, and improving engineering practices with AI tools.
- Define microarchitecture and implement RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for complex AI acceleration IPs and subsystems.
- Make architectural trade-offs for performance, power, area, timing, and design complexity aligned with system goals.
- Provide technical leadership, set design conventions, review RTL, and mentor other designers.
- Promote and integrate AI-assisted engineering tools into the design and verification flow.
- Collaborate with architects, verification, DFT, and physical design teams for integration, timing closure, and bring-up.
- Lead pre-silicon debug, root-cause analysis, and drive issues to resolution during bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; brief list of desirable additions.
-
Must-have: 6+ years of hands-on logic design experience delivering complex RTL/microarchitecture to silicon.
-
Must-have: Strong RTL implementation skills in Verilog/SystemVerilog and proven microarchitecture design experience.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with pre-silicon debug, root-cause analysis, and cross-team integration.
-
Must-have: Experience collaborating with verification, DFT, and physical design teams toward timing closure and bring-up.
-
Must-have: Technical leadership and mentorship experience, including code/review standards and design quality enforcement.
-
Must-have: Orientation to or hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and a practical interest in applying AI to hardware workflows.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience designing accelerators, datapath, or compute-heavy IPs targeted at AI/ML workloads.
-
Nice-to-have: Understanding of deep learning or LLM workloads and how they map to hardware.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (degree or equivalent practical experience). Not specified: advanced degrees or certifications beyond the B.Sc. equivalence stated.
