Role Summary
The Senior Layout Engineer will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on delivering custom integrated circuit system solutions for the personal electronics market. The role involves interacting with technical leaders and customers while working on impactful designs that contribute to TI's revenue stream.

Responsibilities
The Senior Layout Engineer will be responsible for:
- Framing layout schedules and estimating efforts for all layout engineers on the project.
- Collaborating with designers to understand architecture and key IC requirements.
- Balancing area, performance, and timeline during layout development.
- Updating PDK, P-cell, and design rules in coordination with the process development team.
- Working with packaging engineers to develop custom lead-frames.
- Analyzing and closing electro migration, thermal gradients, and layout parasitics.
- Developing test vehicles for new processes and technology.
- Mentoring junior layout engineers and providing feedback to meet quality standards.
- Identifying process improvements for quality and cycle time initiatives.
Requirements
Candidates must possess the following:
- Full chip layout experience from definition through production release.
- Strong debugging skills in LVS, DRC, ERC, and antenna issues.
- Expertise in analog and mixed-signal layout techniques.
- Familiarity with various semiconductor technologies including 40nm to 180nm.
- Proficiency using layout tools such as Virtuoso XL, Assura, and PVS.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Automation experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is mandatory for this position.
