Senior IP Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification for front-end multimedia IP to ensure first-pass silicon success. Work on a front-end multimedia IP team that partners with ASIC designers, IP architects, and other verification engineers.
Hybrid role based in Santa Clara, CA; responsibilities span IP-level verification through IP integration into full-chip environments.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of proven design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification plans, building verification environments, and driving closure of functional and performance goals.
- Drive development and verification of multimedia IP with emphasis on first-pass silicon success.
- Collaborate with ASIC designers, IP architects, and other verification engineers to formalize product features and verification strategy.
- Verify IP using SystemVerilog and UVM; design and maintain testbenches.
- Automate unit-level, trace-based testing against reference C models.
- Architect verification environments and maintain verification documentation.
- Develop simulation models and manage regression flows across HLS, Verilog, and FPGA simulations.
- Perform performance testing and analysis; track and close functional and code coverage.
- Support IP integration testing into full-chip environments.
- Advance verification techniques, methodologies, and automation within the team.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience, plus a few desirable qualifications.

Must-have: 5+ years of proven design verification experience.

Must-have: Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM for complex IP verification.

Must-have: Experience building testbenches, simulation models, and managing regressions and coverage closure.

Must-have: Programming/scripting experience in C and Python.

Must-have: Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.

Nice-to-have: Experience verifying High-Level Synthesis (HLS) designs.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI-enabled IDEs for code development.

Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
