Senior IC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for defining, implementing and executing verification for complex mixed-signal SoCs and subsystems used in hearing, hearables and healthcare IoT products. Work within the verification and validation team based in Leuven and collaborate with design, architecture and software teams globally.

Experience Level

Senior-level - typically 5+ years of experience in digital IC verification.

Responsibilities

Core verification tasks and coordination for subsystem-level verification.

• Translate system and module specifications into verification plans and coverage strategies.
• Drive verification closure using functional, code and assertion coverage analysis.
• Execute RTL, gate-level, timing-annotated, power-aware and mixed-signal verification according to milestones.
• Analyze simulation results, debug complex system-level issues and work with design teams to resolve root causes.
• Adopt and apply automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve verification productivity and quality.
• Take ownership of subsystem verification and provide technical guidance to less experienced colleagues when required.
• Report progress, risks and technical status to the IC Verification Lead and project stakeholders.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required for the role.

• Typically 5+ years of experience in digital IC verification.
• Strong understanding of SoC architectures, including CPUs, DSPs, security, power management and digital communication interfaces.
• Proven experience with modern verification methodologies, including SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of complex failures.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and communicate effectively in English.
• Nice-to-have: experience with power-aware verification, gate-level/timing verification, analog mixed-signal verification, or exposure to AI/machine-learning systems.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
