Job Title
Senior IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver integrated circuits that implement core elements of Flying Wire's hardware platform for distributed physical intelligence. The role owns critical parts of the implementation flow from architectural intent through manufacturable silicon.
Early-stage hardware role where design choices will shape the platform long-term.
Experience Level
Senior level. Specific years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement analog, mixed-signal, and/or digital IC blocks and take them to tapeout-ready implementation.
- Own and improve the implementation flow from architecture to manufacturable silicon, including DFM considerations.
- Collaborate with system architects, firmware, and manufacturing teams to align silicon with platform requirements.
- Develop verification, validation, and silicon bring-up/debug strategies.
- Document design decisions and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications (concise):
-
Must-have: Proven experience delivering IC designs to silicon and owning implementation flows.
-
Must-have: Practical experience in IC design, layout, or verification for analog, mixed-signal, or digital blocks (tools/flows not specified).
-
Preferred: Experience with tapeout processes, PDKs, DFT, and silicon bring-up.
-
Preferred: Experience working at an early-stage hardware company and influencing platform-level decisions.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
