Job Title
Senior HW RF/mmWave Designer
Role Summary
Member of the Hardware Radio team within the Wireless IoT group, based in Athens. The role focuses on design and verification of RF building blocks for MIMO Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth transceivers and supporting system-level integration and post-silicon validation.
Work involves close collaboration with layout engineers, system designers and customers to deliver and validate RF/analog IP in advanced CMOS/FinFET processes.
Experience Level
Senior. Principal-level role requiring more than 12 years of experience in RF/Analog IC design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities cover block-level RF design, verification, documentation and post-silicon validation.
- Design and verify high-end RF blocks to meet specifications (PA, LNA, switches, mixers, VGAs, poly-phase filters, etc.).
- Extract block-level specifications from high-level standard/system requirements.
- Collaborate with layout engineers and perform layout reviews.
- Support system design of receiver and transmitter chains for wireless OFDM transceivers.
- Generate design documentation and participate in design reviews.
- Perform post-silicon verification and debugging using electrical measurements in the lab.
- Support customer evaluation and integration activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools experience and behavioral attributes.
- Principal experience level with extensive RF/Analog IC design in nanometer planar CMOS or FinFET technologies (more than 12 years).
- Strong experience with circuits such as power amplifiers, LNAs, RF switches, poly-phase filters, VGAs and mixers; low-voltage and low-power CMOS design techniques.
- Experience in system design of wireless OFDM CMOS transceivers and definition of sub-block specifications.
- Understanding of wireless modem algorithms (e.g., DPD, DC-offset calibration, IQ mismatch calibration, AGC calibration).
- Familiarity with PCB RF board requirements for transceiver evaluation.
- Proficiency with Cadence IC design tools and practical lab measurement experience for post-silicon debug.
- Experience writing technical reports and design documentation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization and prioritization skills; fluent in English.
Education Requirements
PhD or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field with specific knowledge of RF analog circuit design and RF system design. (The posting lists these degrees explicitly.)
