Role Summary
The Senior Hardware Engineer will take a lead role in defining, validating, and enabling complex multi-rack FPGA-based systems at Synopsys. This position is integral in ensuring robust and scalable hardware solutions are developed, contributing to the performance and reliability of next-generation FPGA systems.
Experience Level
This position is categorized as a Mid-Career level role, requiring a robust background in hardware design and FPGA technology.
Responsibilities
- Define, validate, and enable FPGA-based systems to ensure performance and scalability.
- Generate and package diagnostic tests for product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Run and troubleshoot designs to proactively resolve potential hardware issues.
- Develop and optimize RTL code for Xilinx UltraScale and Versal FPGAs.
- Establish efficient methodologies for product validation and deployment.
- Map RTL designs into FPGA environments, ensuring functional correctness.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of digital concepts and RTL design, along with hands-on experience with FPGA flows and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado tools.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like Shell, Perl, Python, or TCL.
- Experience with HDL simulation, emulation, and prototyping platforms.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
