Senior Hardware Engineer
Role Summary
Join Arm's GPU development team to develop, integrate and deliver GPU hardware from concept to customer delivery. The role focuses on top-level RTL integration, design methodology development, and cross-team debugging to meet performance, power and area targets.
Work as part of a cross-site engineering team collaborating with architecture, modelling, design and verification groups. Hybrid working (Cambridge-based) is expected. Salary range: £73,500–£99,500 per year.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering GPU hardware products and improving design processes and methodologies.
- Assemble, test and deliver GPU hardware roadmap products.
- Develop and refine design methodology for GPU development.
- Top-level integration of RTL from multiple design teams and debug complex functional and performance issues.
- Explore and implement technologies and methodologies to improve power, performance and area (PPA).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools for immediate contribution; nice-to-have items that improve fit are listed separately.
- Proficiency with hardware description languages (SystemVerilog preferred).
- Experience with EDA simulators (Siemens, Synopsys, Cadence).
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills; proven ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience with version control and code review systems (Git, Gerrit).
- Scripting for design automation using Python, Perl, JSON, Tcl, Make, or similar.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).
- Familiarity with Arm Mali or other mobile GPU architectures.
- SoC integration and system-level debug experience.
- Understanding of front-end design flows, low-power techniques and UPF.
- Synthesis constraining and timing-report analysis; linting tools.
- Design-for-test (DFT), LBIST and MBIST experience.
- Experience with multi-clock CDC and multi-power-domain designs; clock/reset topologies.
- Project management and technical leadership skills.
