Role Summary
Join the Digital Industries Software R&D team in Cairo to design, integrate and verify FPGA IP and at-speed interfaces for existing and new systems. The role focuses on protocol integration, system-level verification, and delivering high-quality FPGA-based solutions to meet customer requirements.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 3β7 years of relevant experience in digital design, FPGA design flow, and hardware interfacing.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and develop FPGA IP for existing and new systems.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party FPGA IP for complex protocols.
- Develop simulation and test environments to validate protocol integration.
- Write host software to drive test environments and create demo designs as deliverables.
- Produce documentation and reference materials for at-speed interface integrations.
- Perform system-level integration and execute verification tasks.
Requirements
Essential and preferred skills:

Must-have: 3β7 years experience in digital design, FPGA design flow, and interfacing.

Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog HDL or VHDL.

Must-have: Hands-on FPGA implementation experience, including design constraints and timing analysis.

Must-have: Familiarity with logic synthesis, synthesis report analysis, and functional simulation.

Must-have: Knowledge of modern protocols such as PCIe, UFS, MIPI UniPro, NVMe, USB, SATA, SAS, Ethernet, and DDRx.

Must-have: Familiarity with the Xilinx development workflow (Vivado and Vitis).

Must-have: Strong communication skills and ability to present and share technical ideas.

Nice-to-have: Embedded programming knowledge.

Nice-to-have: Scripting experience (Perl/Shell).
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
