Job Title

Senior FPGA Mixed Signal Engineer

Role Summary

Design and develop FPGA-based solutions and evaluation platforms for mixed-signal systems, with primary work on Xilinx Zynq devices. The role combines hands-on RTL/FPGA implementation, board-level integration, and lab bring-up across analog, digital, and software teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 3+ years of relevant FPGA, digital design, or mixed-signal hardware experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Deliver FPGA functionality and support integration, verification, and board bring-up for mixed-signal platforms.

  • Design, implement, simulate, and debug FPGA logic for mixed-signal systems (RTL development).
  • Develop and validate designs on Xilinx Zynq-based platforms, including hardware/software interaction.
  • Integrate FPGA functionality with analog and digital subsystems to meet system performance goals.
  • Support schematic review, interface definition, layout guidance, and board-level bring-up for FPGA AFE boards.
  • Create and execute verification plans: simulation, hardware testing, and lab characterization.
  • Investigate and resolve issues spanning FPGA logic, interfaces, and board-level mixed-signal behavior.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, software, and applications teams to support product development and evaluation.

Requirements

Core technical skills and practical experience required for reliable FPGA and mixed-signal platform development.

  • Strong FPGA development experience implementing, testing, and debugging digital logic for mixed-signal systems.
  • Practical experience with Xilinx Zynq platforms and board-level integration.
  • Proficiency in RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Practical understanding of mixed-signal interactions, synchronization, and signal integrity.
  • Experience contributing to PCB and board-level FPGA hardware development and bring-up.
  • Verification and debug skills: simulation, waveform analysis, and lab debugging.
  • Familiarity with standard FPGA synthesis, simulation, implementation, and hardware-validation tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for work-related activities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
