Role Summary

Senior FPGA Engineer responsible for designing and implementing digital logic and embedded systems on FPGA platforms for underwater audio technology. The role focuses on Verilog/SystemVerilog design, high-speed DSP algorithm implementation in hardware, and creating custom IP and test infrastructure.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing FPGA-based embedded systems and delivering production-ready digital logic.

• Design and develop embedded systems built on FPGA technology.
• Create digital logic using Verilog / SystemVerilog.
• Implement high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic.
• Develop custom IP cores from scratch.
• Work with simulation tools and write custom test utilities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and conditions for success.

• 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.
• Proven ability to implement mathematical algorithms targeting GPUs on Windows.
• Experience using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog for digital logic design.
• Hands-on experience with C, embedded C, MATLAB, and/or Python.
• Experience implementing high-speed DSP algorithms and developing IP cores preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Equivalent practical experience may be considered if explicitly stated by the employer.
