Role Summary

Senior FPGA Engineer responsible for designing and implementing digital logic and embedded systems on FPGAs for underwater audio technology products. The role focuses on digital design, high-speed DSP implementation, and development of custom IP cores.

Works within a small engineering team to deliver production-ready FPGA solutions, simulation/test utilities, and algorithm implementations.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting requests 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

• Design and develop embedded systems based on FPGA technology.
• Create digital logic using Verilog / SystemVerilog.
• Implement high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic.
• Develop custom IP cores from scratch.
• Use simulation tools and develop custom test utilities to validate designs.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.
• Proven ability to write mathematical algorithms to run on a GPU in Windows.
• Proficient with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog for digital logic design.
• Hands-on experience with C, embedded C, MATLAB, and/or Python.
• Experience implementing high-speed DSP algorithms and developing IP cores.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with advanced simulation tools and custom test utilities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering specified.
