Role Summary
Lead FPGA design and verification efforts for advanced microelectronics programs supporting a client mission in Lexington, Massachusetts. Responsibilities include architecture, circuit-level design, verification planning, and providing technical guidance across design, fabrication, and packaging phases.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 7+ years of FPGA development and research experience.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on technical leadership across FPGA and microelectronics workstreams.
- Lead design, development, testing, and sustainment of advanced microelectronics systems.
- Create hardware design specifications and perform circuit-level design and technical planning.
- Perform functional analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation.
- Develop architecture and generate functional block diagrams for hardware systems.
- Provide technical and programmatic advice for sensor, processing, and other advanced systems.
- Support engineering evaluations, technical assessments, and strategic planning.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and technical skills for immediate contribution.
- 7+ years of FPGA development experience across multiple device families and platforms.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with Hardware Description Languages (HDL) and embedded design for FPGAs/System-on-Chip.
- Experience with verification methodologies and developing test benches.
- Familiarity with hardware and design security concepts.
- Knowledge of non-HDL FPGA development alternatives (e.g., HDL Coder, Xilinx System Generator).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience verifying defense microelectronics systems and working with various IP blocks.
- Familiarity with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Experience with continuous integration practices for hardware development.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Preferred: Master's or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
