Senior FPGA Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement FPGA logic for high-speed signal and measurement applications as part of the Beaverton, OR engineering team. Deliver FPGA-based subsystems that characterize and verify devices, interconnects, and optical/electrical systems while collaborating with product, test, and vendor partners.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5+ years of FPGA design experience; 10+ years preferred for more advanced responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include architecture, implementation, verification, and cross-team coordination to deliver FPGA-enabled measurement products.
- Architect and implement FPGA logic for high-speed signal and measurement systems.
- Design and verify subsystems that characterize devices, interconnects, and optical/electrical systems.
- Gather and translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Plan and meet schedules; identify project risks and recommend mitigations.
- Follow Agile development processes and participate in peer review and peer testing.
- Drive engineering process improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
- Conduct feasibility research for new products or product features and maintain knowledge of FPGA tools and industry trends.
Requirements

Must-have: 5+ years of FPGA design experience working with chip vendors, EDA tool vendors, manufacturers, or system integrators.

Must-have: Proficient in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.

Must-have: Solid application of electrical engineering principles used in electronic product design.

Must-have: Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

Preferred: Experience with Intel and Xilinx FPGA architectures and toolchains.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred. No equivalent-experience language or certification requirements specified in the source.
