Senior Formal Verification Engineer
Role Summary
As a Formal Verification Engineer on the NVIDIA Graphics team in Bengaluru you will formally verify complex RTL designs, develop verification flows, and work closely with design, architecture, validation teams, and internal FV R&D to achieve design sign-off.

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of relevant formal verification or hardware verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Decide on appropriate formal verification techniques and scope for design units.
- Review functional and micro-architectural specifications; define formal verification scope and produce verification testplans.
- Build formal testbenches, write assertions and constraints, and apply abstraction to converge targeted properties or achieve reasonable proof depth.
- Apply formal coverage techniques to analyze over-constraints and measure functional coverage.
- Design and develop verification flows that integrate vendor and internally developed formal tools.
- Collaborate closely with design, architecture, validation teams, and internal FV R&D.
Requirements
Must-have and nice-to-have qualifications:
- Must-have: Strong understanding of hardware micro-architecture and RTL design.
- Must-have: Conversant with formal verification technologies, including complexity-reduction techniques.
- Must-have: Formal property verification experience on multiple complex units.
- Must-have: Proficiency creating high-quality verification testplans, building formal testbenches, and root-causing counter-examples.
- Nice-to-have: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Nice-to-have: Scripting experience (Python, Perl, shell).
- Nice-to-have: Good interpersonal and communication skills; effective team collaboration.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. required; the posting specifies 5+ years of relevant experience in addition to the degree.
