Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 5+ years of experience in low-level firmware or BIOS development, with at least 2 years focused on secure firmware and hardware security components.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and optimize GPU firmware across the product lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve firmware and hardware security posture for the root of trust.
  • Enhance team infrastructure: build systems, regression farms, and security test tooling.
  • Perform in-depth security reviews of software, hardware, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to security requirements and align solutions with industry standards and customers.
  • Collaborate with internal and third-party hardware and software teams to improve security across BootROMs and software stacks.

  • 2+ years building secure firmware and working with hardware security components.
  • Proficient in C and low-level systems programming.
  • Solid understanding of secure software fundamentals: cryptography, authentication/attestation, chains of trust, and common software security vulnerabilities.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with hardware designers and software engineers on debug and integration tasks.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with threat modeling, formal design analysis, or hardware/firmware architecture.
  • Familiarity with secure development techniques: static/dynamic analysis, fuzzing, negative testing.
  • Experience with safety-critical platforms or formal verification.

Education Requirements
