Senior Field Applications Engineer - Analog & Power

Role Summary

The Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) for Analog & Power will drive design-in activities for automotive analog and power products across the Americas and sales channels. The role works closely with customer engineering teams and internal application, marketing, and system engineering teams to define next-generation products and achieve business targets.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related work experience (or an MSEE with 2 years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical engagement with customers, product definition, project management, and hands-on support:

• Drive design-in activities for Automotive Analog & Power products across the Americas.
• Define new products in collaboration with customers and internal marketing/application teams.
• Serve as the technical interface and consult with customers during development of automotive applications.
• Derive customer requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions with Marketing, Application, and System Engineering.
• Manage projects with Sales and Marketing to meet design-in targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering teams and distribution partners.
• Perform laboratory measurements and hands-on validation within the scope of customer projects.
• Support FAE trainings and end-customer seminars for distribution partners.
• Prioritize technical activities with commercial impact and help maximize business across sales channels.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and abilities:

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience (senior level) is expected.
• Proven experience as a Field or Applications Engineer.
• Working knowledge of analog and power semiconductor applications in automotive systems.
• Hands-on experience designing automotive ECUs, analog & power electronics, xEV systems, power modules and telematics systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and balance technical and commercial considerations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport and trust with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent technical reading comprehension (user manuals, datasheets) and strong verbal/written English communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: prior experience in automotive applications and exposure to sales/channel engagement.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field is stated. A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is accepted with reduced experience (example: MSEE + 2 years vs. Bachelor's + 5 years).
